How the appointment runs.
On a Brentwood visit we measure the house before we measure the equipment. Will my old electrical panel support a heat pump?
Sometimes, and it needs checking first rather than on installation day. A heat pump needs a circuit for the outdoor unit and, if it carries auxiliary electric heat, more capacity again for the strips. In older Brentwood houses the panel is often full or undersized. We look at it during the estimate so any electrical work is priced up front.
Ductless or a conventional system for a small house like ours?
It depends on whether you have usable duct. If the existing duct is short, reasonably sized and reachable, a compact ducted heat pump is often the cleaner answer. If the duct is a tight retrofit through closets, or there is no duct at all, ductless usually delivers better comfort than rebuilding duct in a house with no room for it.
Can I keep my boiler and radiators and still add a heat pump?
